Despite having lived my whole life in New York, there are some things I have never done.
Among other things:
I have never been to the Statue of Liberty
I have never been to Chelsea Market
I have never been to The Sugar Factory
Well this was my chance to cross a few things off of my bucket list. First up was a trip to the Sugar Factory, and all I can say is WOW. Just WOW. The energy from the staff, the amount of people there wearing birthday sashes, and the amount of option on the menu… it was quite the experience. I’m curious to know if all of their locations are the same. This might result in a trip to Miami soon, for the love of god follow up investigative journalism of course, and not for drinks that look like this:
If you know anything about that area, you’ll know that Chelsea Market is right around the corner, and we ran into it while walking off our dinner. As a fall baby, I’m a huge fan of markets, pumpkin patches, changing leaves, scarves, and boots. When I saw the words “CHELSEA MARKET” on the side of a building I happened to look up at, I had to take a quick walk through it.
I had no idea it was as big as it was! It’s a place you could honestly spend all day in, stopping at different shops and tasting samples. If I ever move back to New York, I can definitely see myself in there on the weekends making friends, exploring and of course, eating!
Being fall, it was a little chilly, the sun had set early and Halloween decorations lined the ceiling of the market. It took me a while to realize why this, and other similar things were hanging from the ceiling, but I quickly caught on, snapped a pic and added a snapchat filter to remember my impromptu bucket list check.
Stay tuned for more…
