No trip across the Atlantic is complete without stopping in a few cities. Next stop: Barcelona.

As one of Spain’s most noted travel destinations, I wanted to make sure I added it to my itinerary. Our hotel was just two blocks from La Sagrada Familia, a 560-foot high Catholic Church that has been under construction since the 1800s.

Also on the itinerary was a visit to Park Güell, 45 acres of lush landscape, incredible one-of-a-kind architecture, and views of the entire city.

Any fan of the Cheetah Girls will recognize this from the second movie!

And of course no trip to Spain is complete without churros and paella on Las Ramblas…twice.

Now of course, Barcelona is known for much more, including its beaches, Barceloneta, home to international music festivals that go all night long, its soccer team, Barcelona FC, and other landmarks around the city.
