Nothing beats New York City during the Christmas season. From the lights to the trees and the classic carols – add a touch of snowfall and it truly is a magical time.
Want to go on a festive bar hop around the city? Here are a few places you might want to add to your itinerary.
Silver Bells… and tinsel. And Garland. And Lights
You’ve definitely seen this Rolf’s German Restaurant on Instagram, Buzzfeed and every other holiday bar roundup ever written. Decked out with decorations covering every inch of the ceiling, this one is a must for your Instagram bucket list. If you can’t make a reservation, you can still experience the magic, but don’t let the wait intimidate you. Make sure to check the menu before you go. If the food isn’t for you, skip dinner and head to the bar for some one-of-a-kind holiday-themed cocktails.
Can’t make the trip during the holidays? Don’t worry. The holiday decor is up through May.
Find it at the corner of 22nd Street and 3rd Ave.
Let it Snow
Take a trip to Eataly Flatiron for a true winter wonderland at SERRA ALPINA by Birreria. From pine trees covered with snow to a menu with seasonal cocktails and true classic Italian dishes, you’ll escape the hustle and bustle that comes with the city – AND the holidays.
Find it at 200 5th Ave.
Cocoa Loco
Head to Loreley Beer Garden for some boozy hot cocoa. This beer garden transforms for the winter with a heated outdoor space and downstairs holiday lounge with Christmas tunes, lights and other festive decorations.
Find it on the Lower East Side at 7 Rivington Street.
If bar hoping isn’t your thing, don’t worry, it’s a huge city. There are a ton of other wintertime attractions to see this season. Stay tuned for more.
Until next time…
