Top 10 Hits: Mood Changers

Let’s face it, we’re going through a strange time. Sometimes you just feel annoyed, overwhelmed or just bored.  It happens to us all. Sometimes all we need is a great song with a pumped up beat to help you rise back up to the warrior you are. Here are my top 10 hits that can instantly change your mood and get you moving.

A Different Beat – Little Mix

This group seems to find its way on to many of my lists. They have a song for every mood you could ever find yourself in.

Favorite lyric: “I got my head up, shoulders back. I’m doing me. So they can see I’m marching to a different beat. I take a look in the mirror and I like what I see. So baby, I keep marching to a different beat.”

I’m Every Woman – Whitney Houston

When that beat drops. WOOO

Favorite lyric: The end when she just repeats “I’m every woman” about 20 times with a “Chaka Khan” thrown in.

One Thing – Amerie

I bet you forgot about this one. The beat, the mood. No way you’ll not feel like a new person after this.

Favorite lyric: “Hear voices I don’t want to understand. My car keys are jingling in my hand. My high heels are clicking towards your door.”

This is Me – Demi Lovato

Not only will it bring back memories of when you were in middle school jamming out to the Camp Rock soundtrack, but it honestly does have an amazing message about being yourself.

Favorite lyric: “But I have this dream bright inside of me. I’m gonna let it show. It’s time to let you know. This is real, this is me. I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be now. Gonna let the light shine on me.”

Wannabe – Spice Girls

This was a hard toss up between “Stop” and this one, but literally any Spice Girls song will bring your mood back up.

Favorite lyric: “I won’t be hasty, I’ll give you a try. If you really bug me then I’ll say goodbye.”

Shower – Becky G

We all sing or hum in the shower. The acoustics are great, and so is this song.

Favorite lyric: “Ladade ladada ladadaaaaa.”

Irreplaceable – Beyoncé

So maybe you’re in a funk because you just went through a breakup. This one is for you. Cut the baggage.

Favorite lyric: “So go ahead and get gone. Call up that chick and see if she’s home. Oops I bet you thought that I didn’t know. What did you think I was putting you out for?”

Rhythm Nation – Janet Jackson

Grab your vest, boots and key hoop earring. But can someone teach a class where we can learn the choreography?

Favorite lyric: “People of the world unite. Are we looking for a better way of life? We are a part of the rhythm nation.”

Smile – Lily Allen

Ok, I guess this one is for those going through a break up too. Get mad or get even.

Favorite lyric: “La-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-laaaa.”

Show Stopper – Danity Kane

Have you ever been riding down the street with the roof down with your girls and blasted this song? Me neither, but maybe one day.

Favorite lyric: “This is for my ladies in the 280s Mercedes, in the H3, Baby Ranges, Bentley Coupes, my Escalades Say oh. OH.
