What’s Up Next? This Week’s Watch List 3

Quarantine might be lifting and you might be going outside more and enjoying the summer evenings, BUT we all know you’re still binge watching movies and shows. I’m here to share more shows and movies I’ve been watching in case you’re in need of recommendations.

If you want to cry

I’ll admit, I was not on the “This Is Us” wave in real-time. I heard it was sad and you’d ball your eyes out with every episode and I wasn’t about it. After coming across Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry” video again, I rediscovered my love for Milo Ventimiglia and decided to give it a try. The first episode ended with a major twist I did not see coming, so for now I’m into it.

If you want summer adventure

“Outer Banks” on Netflix is another show about unsupervised teenagers living their best lives and getting into trouble. There are bad guys, guns, wreck ships and illegal activity so far. It’s a quick watch with only 10 episodes, so if you want to escape to island life for a bit, here you go.

If you want to commit

I just started watching “Lost” and as much as I hate to commit to a show with more than three seasons, I’m really interested in finding out if they’re really on the island, dead, or ever going to make it home.

If you want to laugh and say WTF

Issa Rae takes us on a wild adventure with “Lovebirds” on Netflix. If you liked
“The Spy Who Dumped Me” with Mila Kunis, you’ll love this one.

If you want a love adventure

If Bumble and Tinder aren’t working out for you, live vicariously through others. “Before We Go” is a romantic indie movie starring Chris Evans. He meets a girl who is having an unlucky night, and together, they go on an all-night adventure through the city to help her out.

If you want a sitcom

Another easy watch is “Younger” on Hulu. Follow a 40-year-old who is getting back into the corporate world by pretending to be 26. There is love, scandal, and ridiculous scenarios that you won’t believe anyone could get themselves into. If you live in NY, play I Spy with all of the locations featured. How many have you been to?

What have you been watching? Leave your favorites below. I’d love to check them out!

Until next time…
