I’m the first to admit I’m not the most up-to-date with new artists or songs, so I love a good throwback so I can sing along. Late night YouTube sessions can lead you down memory lane until the sun rises. Here are some hits from back in the day that I sure forgot about.

Crush – David Archuleta 

I’ve said it before and will continue to say it for life that this song is a classic. You can’t listen to it just once. Every time I listen to it, I restart it. Oh, to be a teen again. The best part? the long drawn out ” And I’ve just got to knoooooow.”

7 Things – Miley Cyrus

If you’re in the mood to jump around your room or on the bed, blast this one. Best lyric is when we focus on the seven things we like.

“And compared to all the great things that would take too long to write, I probably should mention the seven that I like.”

End Game – Taylor + Ed + Future

Not really from childhood, but still a goodie. A great song to turn on for a late night drive.

Gym Class Heroes

Ok, not a song, but I couldn’t pick just one. Between Cupid’s Chokehold with an appearance by Katy Perry, Viva La White Girl, Clothes Off and Travie’s Ass Back Home, I can’t choose a winner.

Fall Out Boy

Ok not a song either but again, it’s a toss up between Thnks fr th Mmrs with a surprise appearance by Kim K West, This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race and Sugar We’re Going Down, Fall Out Boy is still it.

Ultimate – Lindsay Lohan

If you know me, you know I’m a fan of Lindsay Lohan, so this hit from Freaky Friday will never get old. Makes me want to be a part of a band.

Don’t Lie – Black Eyed Peas

Black Eyed Peas has a bunch of hits, but Don’t Lie has stuck with me over these years. It’s another one of those feel good songs that makes you want to sway and sing out loud.

Love Like This – Natasha Bedingfield + Sean Kingston

If you need a light song for the summer, this is it. It’s one of those songs you don’t forget the lyrics to even years later.

Ain’t It Funny Remix- Jennifer Lopez

A song full of swag, bounce and us wondering why you want us when you had us. Love is crazy. Best lyric: “Ain’t that funny? Baby that you want me, when you had me. Love is crazy. Now I can smile and say ain’t that funny.”

No More (Baby Im’a Do Right)
