Fall is officially here! That means it’s time to pull out the scarves, knee highs and coats. Fashion can be fun, but with the temperature outside dropping, it’s so tempting to sacrifice the look to stay warm. You don’t have to! Here’s my secret to purposeful outfit planning for the season.
Most of the time, what I wear serves a purpose. In the summer, I love a good romper, not because it’s cute, but because I’m probably too lazy to find a top and bottom that match. Knee high boots have become a staple in my colder weather wardrobe, not only because I love the look, but because they keep you warm too. A few weeks ago, I headed out to Untermeyer Gardens in Yonkers for a quick escape from the city life and into some beautiful scenery not too far north from the city. I’ll have more on that trip later, so be sure to stay tuned!
In the forecast? 32 degrees and sunny – a disrespectful 30 degree drop from the day before. Out came the knee high boots and socks. While sitting in the sun brought some relief from the cold, I appreciated the coverage from the boots in the shade. Check out my look from the day!

What’s your favorite fall accessory? I’m always looking to change things up, so let me know!
Until next time…
