The heat is on in Miami year round, and this December, I headed to Brickell for a weekend in The Magic City. I stayed at Brickell City Centre, an eat, play, live development that I actually attended the opening of a few years ago for work. #PRLife. It was great to be back, this time as a guest, and getting to experience all of the perks I have heard about.
The first perk was the view. We originally looked at some places in Fort Lauderdale to stay on the water, but for the same price as a room a few blocks off of the water, we were able to get a room on the 33rd floor of EAST with a balcony and amazing views of the urban skyline.

Day one we headed to Barsecco, an open air lounge, for happy hour. It was perfect for pre-sunset views and light bites and of course, photo opps. We then headed for a stroll throughout the neighborhood, ending up by the water for to take in the full evening.

“All I ever wanted was everything.”

Later that night, we ended up at Sugar, a cocktail bar on top of our hotel for more drinks and light Asian cuisine inspired bites, including a sushi roll, satay chicken and Irish cream brownie for dessert.

That was just the beginning of our weekend in Miami. Stay tuned to see more of our tropical escape away from home at home.

Until next time…
