Around Town: Welcome to Miami, Part 2

Welcome back! If you saw my last post, I started telling you about my time weekend in Brickell. Friday ended with a beautiful sunset on the water and a nighttime skyline view of Miami. Saturday brought even more amazing views and food, starting with a quick brunch at Casa Tua Cucina.

French toast topped with assorted berries and whipped cream from Casa Tua Cucina.

After a quick walk around the neighborhood in the daylight, we ended up relaxing by the pool at EAST, taking in the views of the lush foliage throughout the deck.

For dinner, we headed to Komodo, another Asian-inspired restaurant in the heart of Brickell, with a sharable dish style.

Fried rice, Korean BBQ chicken and a glass of rosé.

The weekend in Brickell was a much-needed escape from reality. Just a short ride from the hustle and bustle of South Beach where most people jet off to when they think of Miami, it was a quiet, clean alternative if you’re looking for a staycation getaway.

Until next time…
