Around Town: The Playground of the World

Warm weather, sunshine and a summer breeze is here in NYC. That mean’s one thing… a trip down to the pier to Coney Island. I headed out in early May for a nice afternoon in Brooklyn. The trip was a bit longer than expected, but the train stopped right by the attractions.

It was packed with joggers, families, and people taking in the sun’s rays. While some of the rides were closed, the food lines were long and ready for those looking for the classics – fries, ice cream and dogs. No trip to Coney is complete without a visit to the world famous Nathan’s.

The afternoon outing n Brooklyn didn’t stop there. On the way back, a quick detour to DUMBO brought in more views, people out and about enjoying street music, food and sunshine.

With summer upon us, there are shortage of adventures and beautiful views awaiting around the city. Where is your favorite NYC spot to spend an afternoon?

Until next time…
