Jae Marie’s Journeys: Return to Hollywood

I told you I’d be back! This time, we stayed downtown right by the Staples Center, and explored it, and Santa Monica had to offer.

First stop? A hop on, hop off double decker bus. We went from the Chinese Theater and Walk of Fame through Beverly Hills and along the coast to the Santa Monica Pier. As the biggest fan of funnel cake, I of course couldn’t pass up the opportunity to indulge in some fried and sugared batter.

We headed to Grand Central Market for some all-day eating, including tacos, pupusas, boba tea and oysters. If you’ve never been, picture a food hall with tons of stalls serving all different types of food made to order right there. The market also had hand-crafted trinkets and vintage clothing.

What’s a vacation in the sun without a rooftop brunch? We went to Sunset Rooftop for a bottomless rooftop brunch party with music, views and good bites. Of course, what’s a trip to the coast without an all-day beach picnic to end the trip.

As fun as the west coast was, I’m excited to be back home living city life. I have some big updates to share so be sure to stay tuned.

Until next time…

– Jae Marie
