Ever want to visit the rain forest without leaving the concrete jungle? Right in the heart of Manhattan, there’s a rooftop experience with a bottomless brunch and live DJ that doesn’t require a passport.
For my 28th birthday, I stopped in for drinks and Highkey Rainforest Rooftop, 29 floors up overlooking the financial district. I will say it was a bit tricky to find, but once we did and stepped off the elevator, it was an immediate tropical experience.

The rooftop is decked out with plants, fruit and even tiny little critters, just like a real rain forest. There are a ton of photo opportunities, from a swing with neon lights to a phone booth if you need to give boo a ring. We went on a Sunday around 6pm back in October, and basically had the place to ourselves. They have food like quesadillas and lobster Mac, drinks in faux coconuts and hookah.
That wouldn’t be my first and only visit. I’m a part of a brunch group that meets up monthly, and our December brunch was to…. Highkey. This time, it was a bit more packed with R&B hits, bottomless mimosas and of course, all of the photo opportunities.

Until next time…
