I’ve officially lived in my New York City apartment for 11 months! Time sure does fly, but with the hustle and bustle of my city life, I can honestly say I haven’t done much decorating or making this apartment a home. When I got the email that it was time to renew my lease, I realized I have had the same curtains up and bed set (washed, of course) since I moved in last June. I have shoes throw in both of my closets, but knew it was time to get a real shelf to help organize my life and actually be able to slide the doors closed. It started off a little rough, but eventually, I got it together.
Check out my mini DIY project with this Room Essentials shelf from Target.
Learn from my mistakes. Make sure everything is lined up. If something feels off, it’s because it is. Make sure you have all of the materials first, lined up, and then dive in. Have fun, and follow your instincts. You don’t have to be Bob the Builder to transform your space.
Until next time…
